Packaging aluminum hoses are very common in our daily lives, but we may not pay much attention to their existence, such as toothpaste tubes, glue aluminum tubes, sunscreen aluminum tubes, ointment aluminum tubes, and so on. Due to the small usage of daily necessities such as ointments, small capacity aluminum tubes are usually used for filling. For example, a 10g aluminum hose is one of the commonly used specifications for medicinal ointment tubes. Having said so much, I believe the vast majority of people do not know how all aluminum hoses for packaging are produced.
You may not believe that the raw material for all aluminum hoses is actually aluminum flakes. This is an aluminum alloy with an aluminum content of 99.7% (the remaining 0.3% is zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese, titanium, etc.). Nowadays, using automated production equipment, it is possible to produce individual aluminum sheets on a single production line to produce finished products - packaging aluminum tubes that can be used for filling and filling.
The step of manufacturing all aluminum hoses is to use stamping equipment to press the aluminum sheets into a preliminary tubular shape, known as "punching pipe". At this point, it is only basically formed, and the parts of the tube teeth and the tube tail are still rough embryos. It is necessary to use reaming equipment to "modify", including cutting the tube tail flush and cutting the required threads at the tube mouth. At this point, the aluminum tube is actually hard and must be sent to the oven for "annealing" to restore its flexibility. After high-temperature annealing, it becomes a true "aluminum hose".
After forming the aluminum hose, it is not yet suitable for filling paste and must undergo a series of processing. After annealing and cooling, the all aluminum hose is then subjected to "internal spraying", which means spraying a thin layer of resin inside the pipe wall. This resin can effectively prevent the influence of acids, alkalis, water vapor, and solvents, improve the sealing performance of pipes, and isolate the paste from contact with aluminum. In addition, if aluminum tubes are used for cosmetic packaging, health product packaging, or drug packaging, they must be sprayed with resin that meets food hygiene standards. After the internal spraying is completed, heat and bake to cure it.
Due to the fact that packaging aluminum tubes are mostly sold as consumer daily necessities in the market after filling with paste, it is necessary to pay attention to appearance and have product information. Primer "is the coating of a layer of resin on the surface of an aluminum tube cylinder. The characteristic of this resin is that it can tightly adhere to the pipe body, has high flexibility and scratch resistance, and is coated with aluminum pipe to withstand slight scratches and collisions. After the primer is applied, it must also be baked to cure.
The next step is to print text and patterns on the tube body. Aluminum tube "printing" provides recognition and aesthetics for products, and good printing quality can bring intuitive feelings to aluminum tubes, so it is also a highly valued aspect. Aluminum tube printing has the difference between offset printing and silk screen printing, and the more common offset printing has different equipment conditions for four colors, five colors, and six colors. After printing, it also needs to be heated and dried. After the printing is completed, it can be "covered".
One program for processing aluminum pipes is "tail glue", which involves spraying a circle of latex, abbreviated as tail glue, on the inner wall of the pipe near the opening. Its function is to fill the gaps at the folded end of the aluminum tube to improve the sealing of the packaging.
It should be noted that not all plaster products require every processing program. In practice, the need for inner coating and tail glue should be determined based on the properties of the content, and the method of bottom coating and printing should be determined according to the requirements of product design. Although the production of packaging aluminum tubes is not technological, it also emphasizes various process details to ensure that they have the sealing, aesthetics, and portability that packaging materials should have. In this way, the filled product can play its due role in consumer life.
